Puako Sign The community of Puako is located on the southwestern edge of Lihue, close to all the conveniences that Lihue has to offer yet sufficiently removed to have the feel of a private setting. Puako is bordered by the 18-hole Puakea golf course, the Ha'upu Mountains, and the blue Pacific Ocean. Homesites were originally developed by Grove Farms as a master planned community.
