Lihue is Kauai's center of commerce and home to Costco, Home Depot, Wal*Mart and its largest retail center, Kukui Grove Shopping Center.  Kukui Grove stores include Macy's, Sears, K-Mart, Kays & Zales jewelry, Longs Drugs, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, restaurants, and much, much more.  Lihue is also host to Kauai's major airport & harbor, hotels, and restaurants.

The Lihue area has a wide range of communities of residential homes and condos, all offering the convenience of living in Lihue's center of commerce.  There is also a "lodging unit" (hotel room with no cooking facilities) complex just on the outskirts of Lihue (included in prices below).  Historically Lihue has Kauai's lowest inventory of available homes & condos as measured by the Absorption Rate.
