Koloa Estates Subdivision

The luxury home community of Koloa Estates is located on the south side of the island near Poipu, Kauai's big resort area and famous beaches.  It borders the new Kukui'ula community of high-end luxury homes and is part of the historic town of Koloa.  It boasts custom homes on unusually large lot sizes, typically 1/2 acre or more.  The community has 32 lots, 23 with homes leaving 9 vacant land parcels per county tax records.

The nearby Kukui'ula Shopping Village is a new asset to the area.  It features art galleries, a new selection of restaurants, clothing stores, and more.  The Kukui'ula bypass road skirts the West side of Koloa Estates but there is no direct access or through traffic.  The speed limit is low which minimizes traffic noise.  Other area projects are planned but few are proceeding at the current time due to the economic slowdown.  The one notable exception is the Koloa Landing condominium project which is setting a new standard for luxury in the area.  Long term, the Koloa/Poipu area should see significant additional growth.
