Kapaa Sands Resort on Kauai's Coconut Coast

Kapaa Sands Resort is located at 380 Papaloa Rd, not far from the famed Coco Palms of years past. It's a relatively small resort of 24 units in eight 2-story buildings. It's an oceanfront resort and features it's own pool and BBQ area. 16 units are 364 sq. ft. without a separate bedroom' the other 8 units are 728 sq. ft. with 2 bedrooms. Shops at the Coconut Marketplace are a short walk away.

This complex was built in 1968 and appears to have been well maintained.  Short term vacation rentals are the norm, pets are not allowed.  There is an on-site office for rental check-ins.  Each unit is individually furnished to owner's tastes.  Unlike other small units at Kauai Beach Resort and Islander on the Beach, Kapaa Sands units all have a full kitchen.  Smaller units are studios with even numbers on the ground floor and odd numbers on the 2nd floor.  Larger 2-bedroom units are 2-story with bedrooms on the upper level and living area on the lower.
